Former footballer Thomas Taylor has avoided immediate jail after admitting to elbowing opponent Daniel Brookwell during a Welsh league match in an incident that went viral online. The assault left Brookwell concussed and emotionally shaken, while Taylor received a suspended prison sentence, an indefinite football ban and was released by Trearddur Bay following widespread backlash over the shocking on-pitch attack.
