150 villagers reclaim land in Sandeshkhali, 400 complaints filed


Around 150 Sandeshkhali villagers reclaim land as Bengal govt returns properties based on complaints filed with LLRD. In addition, irrigation and public health and engineering departments initiate conversion of fish farms into farmlands and seal inlets to stop saline water influx in Trimohini, Kaharpara, Patrapara, Bermajur, and Jeliakhali. Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman criticizes Bengal govt for not arresting culprits.
