Alongside the new MacBook Pros, Apple today refreshed the Mac mini with the second-generation Apple silicon, coming in two options - M2 and M2 Pro. While there is nothing new to see outside, internally, the Mac mini has received a hardware update. With the Mac mini (2020), only one option was available – the M1 chip – with an 8-core CPU and 8-core GPU. But now, the Mac mini comes in two flavours – M2 chip and M2 Pro chip. The design remains the same, the Mac mini being an aluminium enclosure with all the ports on the rear.
